In appreciation of older quilts
For you this time, we have some interesting stories about quilts—and
it is the stories about them that add to their charm and make them
treasures. Compliments of Louise Girard we offer you a pattern for
a quilt in praise of Women in Canadian History. Definitely an article
not to be missed is how to take a quilt pattern and make it
uniquely yours. Although you can apply these ideas to any pattern,
keep these in mind when you come across an antique quilt whose pattern
you like but you would like your quilt to have a more contemporary look.
There are also some good articles about quilt collections, appraising
quilts and documenting quilts, along with lots of other surprises.
